About De Dream

A promise turned into action.

De Dream Community Development Foundation began activities in 2022 and was officially launched in 2025, driven by founder Ene Ramatu Yakubu's personal experience of hardship and commitment to creating opportunity for others.

Our Story

Why De Dream Exists

Ramatu hawked on the streets from age six to seventeen. Those years gave her a direct understanding of what it means for a child or adult to live with limited options. She made a personal promise that when she grew up, no matter how little she had, she would use it to make a difference.

De Dream exists to provide education for the less privileged, support skills acquisition and respond to vulnerable communities with practical assistance.

Mission

To empower underprivileged children, young people and communities through education, skills acquisition, mentorship and sustainable development initiatives that transform lives and restore hope.

Vision

A society where every child, young person and vulnerable individual has access to quality education, practical skills and opportunities to build a better future.
